Well, I started to work with computers in 1990 in text mode (80x25), so I always maximize windows. Next I used Windows 3.0 in 640x480, where full screen was necessary for normal work. But I never used close button on Windows, I always closed window using Alt+F4 or Ctrl+F4. I am on Mac now and I use Command+Q :)

May be I am too serious or too pedantic but my feeling is that people should not be forced to do extra movements if it can be avoided. Most used functions should be easily accessible and should be "under hand". You move your finger and function is done. This is ideal :)

Unfortunately keyboard shortcuts do not work well in browsers. So position of close button becomes esssential. If we can avoid extra mouse movements, it would be a plus :) If not, well, sad but not killing bad.

I cannot say I have best solution for the problem. This is why I am asking for opinions :)
