you can use div/lib for your extension development. div2007 is an
intermediate enhancement for div. The new methods should one day be
incorporated into div. I am using the functions of div2007 in almost
every extension I write. This is much more enhanced than the forer
pi_base class of TYPO3.

At the moment I am trying to get the extension key of lib. There is a
bug under PHP 5.3. which I have fixed. However the extension author
Elmar Hinz did not yet respond. According to the rules I must send him 2
more reminder emails and wait until July 2010 . So all the extensions
based on lib will still not work until that day.
