Dear Kari,

I agree with most of your points, but I must say that Elmar's reply 
really hits the spot. Obviously, the support of the core-dev's for the 
ECT has not yet materialized, and without it, people are not willing to 
go any further with coordinating efforts in extension development. So 
what we're doing right now on this list is mostly collecting general ideas.

I will go for another try with the Partner Framework, but only after 
getting a "green light" from somebody of the R&D team. Hope you'll join 
in afterwards! :-)
