We set up the minimum requirements for 6.2 several months ago and this
was discussed in public, decided and is endorsed by the team.

IE8 is still supported. It does not mean that it must look 100%
"perfect", but will be fully functional. Any bugs regarding that can and
should be reported.

As noted before, we contribute volunteerly to the product, but try our
best to make sure we can hold up with the set up compatibility. We have
a minority of developers that are able to test under IE8, but you can be
sure that we care.

We would be glad if you want to help on that area by reporting bugs and
helping in testing and reviewing any patches that we are able to come up
on that area. Feel free to contact me in case you are interested.

Kind regards,
Ernesto
