Hey Guys,

We had a typo3.org maintenance team meeting last week. It is more then necessary
to get proper support, maintenance and whatever is needed to keep out
information hub going. The meeting underlined this once more and made clear that
we are completely understaffed for doing the work that is necessary. We have a
very good infra-structure running with continuous integration and the
performance of the website is really great!

We do however still have a lot of bugs and features that need to be taken care
of. At the moment the most pressing stuff is the login (password / profile
management) and TER related stuff (download counter f.i.). In last weeks meeting
we decided that I will write an overview article of what happened the last half
year or rather what did not happen. It also occured to me that it might be
logical to ask the core development team for support. So please dedicate some
time to the typo3.org project. We need to be able to react in a reasonable
amount of time to issues and give an estimation when an issue will be dealt
with. If yo uare not the one to help the maintenance team out then please think
about who of your TYPO3 developer friends could be a likely candidate.

Currently major bugs lay around unattended and that is not a motivator for
enthusiasm in the TYPO3 community.

tHNx a lot, ben
