oh my, I didn't think about these places... but then to me it seems they 
are abused in some way (a little at least)

with your remarks in mind would it make sense to have the flash messages 
disappear by default and have a method to turn fading out off?

$flashMessage->setFadingOut(false);

Something like this?

Anyway I think that's not critical for feature freeze in case we do not 
find all the places...
