I agree that this makes sense. Also I'm for preventing developers to do 
stupid things.. dunno. I'm +/-0 towards this.
Throwing an Exception is no good idea, isn't it? Instead the message 
should be IMHO be explicitly closed.

I also agree, but this can be easily changed now by adding one line of 
code. For thinks like "yes, it was saved" I would really prefer the 
disappearing messages.

Sorry, I don't understand, what you want to tell me - what do you want 
to change? Only allow severity OK to be able to disappear or more things?

Should I commit? (above mentioned behavior should be changed on JS side).
