Yes, think about symbolic / hard links (directory junctions on windows) 
in a file system. Same file(s) in two positions.

It wouldn't be a big problem to render a tree with nodes which have more 
than one parent. It would just mean that the same node will appear in 
multiple places. This will complicate things a bit if you want a unique 
ID for a node.
