An interesting statement, but I doubt that it is true. I say, if there
is no licence attached than either the copyright of your country or that
of the author (more likely) would apply. That is, it isn't free unless,
the author says so. But of course copyright is not a licence.

I've looked up the thread and see no hint that this code is written by
"Animal". Ok, he (?) posted the code, but he never claimed to be the
author. Please get in touch with him to negotioate licence terms.
