this patch is tested very much and highly discussed. This is why there 
are so many versions. It's something we should aim always in bigger 
changes. It's not a "fast shot implementation" which might need to 
kickoff 4.3.1 two days after release, since it's well tested and widely 
discussed.

I personally do not see why you count this as negative. To me this is a 
defenite pro.
