[TYPO3-core] Checkbox "Disable RTE editor" removed - why?

Hey Michael,
this was me :) in late nov 07.
The point was that these options at the bottom were not structured and
IMHO the configuration / setup module etc. should be restructured
completely. There should be a list of features that are module-specific,
but they should also appear at the setup module. As the setup module is
just a static form for BEUSer-uc-values, my goal was / is to restructure
this, by offering these module-specific options dynamically through
functions in the modules.
As this process is not done yet, we are left with a half-baked option
list at the bottom of the alt_doc.php.
Another reason for me to remove this was to put more attention to the
user setup module (as it is now finally usable in t3skin) as it wasn't
used at all (this is what my editors told me).
Anyway, so this is what I could imagine in the future:
* All user settings (generic, module specific) can be configured in user
=> setup. Modules add their options to a glboal "uc" array which
user=>setup uses to display and edit.
* In a module, if there are module specific options available, a small
menu (either on the bottom or on the side) can be clicked on and then is
expanded. Actions can be completely configured, through a page reload or
a JS action (e.g. "expand all second palette options" doesn't need a
page reload).
It's all part of the plan for the user control center / dashboard
rewrite for 4.3 :)
