[TYPO3-core] wiki: noting down bug fixes for patch level releases?

You mean http://typo3.org/development/roadmap/ , right?

I think it doesn't need to be taken offline. Of course it is far too
vague on TYPO3 4.x, but at least it doesn't contain wrong information.

For 4.2 we might consider making a project page like the one for 4.0 again:
