[TYPO3-core] Updated to RC2 story...

Hi Folks,

I just updated to RC2 on my old old server running ImageMagick 4.2.9  
- the one that served TYPO3.org in old times. I have lots of old  
websites not used anymore there but serving as a test-bench for old  
features.

_EVERYTHING_ went smooth! All old graphics, static templates etc.  
worked (superficially tested after the update). This is good news.

I had to change only one thing in the core related to Bernhards  
truecolor patch for stdgraphic - but I will get back to Bernhard  
about that.


Another thing was that I had to change a reference in a TypoScript  
template using

media/scripts/gmenu_layers.php

to

EXT:cms/tslib/media/scripts/gmenu_layers.php

Obviously that site looked weird without its menu for a second but  
the fix was easy and would have been easy to apply if one just looked  
in the changelog for "!!!".

This issue brings me to the following suggestion:

For all of you who updates sites to the RC versions and helps testing  
(Thank You!) why not create a page on the typo3 wiki where we can  
maintain a checklist for everyone who updates. We base this list on  
the typical problems we experienced during the update so others can  
have a smooth transistion.

(Basically, we could start out such a list based on the information  
in the changelog, taking all entries with !!!)
