[TYPO3-core] RFC: MM_foreign_select

Hi

I was a few days offline mainly because of the CeBit.

I just fixed the MM handling in CVS and provided a patch and full class file 
for download in the bugtracker.

So what went wrong?
Very shortly before RC1 I introduced a bug while I cleaned up the code and 
simplified it. Not very nice ...

Anyway, the problem with that lowlevel stuff is that nobody were able to go 
into it. I understand that. The code floated around for months to be 
reviewed. Just before the RC1 I cleaned up the stuff heavily with the hope 
that it is easier to understand and will be reviewed. It was decided to put 
it into RC1 anyway - bug released. Shit happens.

I would like to emphasize that the feature I implemented is not only wanted by 
me but some more people. There's also a "bidirectional" extension that is on 
the list of extension to be included. The extension by the way will not work 
in many circumstances.
