You can specify an ID for the duplicate of the bug when you resolve it, but
you can't do if you close it.

It stays resolved (at least I never changed a "resolved" bug once again).
Since I am pretty sure that there was a reason for differing between
"resolved" and "closed", I think that a Mantis manual could probably
resolve/close this question :-)
