[TYPO3-templavoila] Access restriction on FCE's

Hi list,

is it possible to set access restriction on FCE's?

Currently I use the method 
templavoila.wizards.newContentElement.wizardItems.fce.show to only show 
the elements a user is allowed to add. This still leaves room for an 
editor to edit (which is sometimes okay, but sometimes not even that) 
or delete (which most of the time shouldn't be an option).

Is there a better way of doing access restriction per FCE ?
