[TYPO3-templavoila] TV 1.4.X issue

What  dont understand:

There are NO Umlaute (ä,ö,ü) in my TemplateObject or HTML-files.
So how can it still corrupt the data and kill my mappings during an 
update to 1.4.1 from 1.3.7 ?
