Hi folks,
I started reviewing TYPO3.com and made some changes.
The two most appearent changes are topic headers of the first order:
Cases & Reviews -> Customers
Resources -> Support
These have been long due I think.
I also made some minor text adjustments, because first I thought some
discussion on you ideas for rewriting some of the items is due.
I think the most pressing ones are in the basic System information pages:
- about
- highlights
- feature list
- screenshot
- price and license
All of these need a thorough overhaul.
I mostly think these are outdated, but also _much_ too long.
So we need to boil these down.
I would like to invite you to make your suggestions on the display of
features like this:
A.) Key Success Factors
>From your experience as marketing practitioners, what are the ten most
powerful arguments in favour of TYPO3 that have won most of your customers?
I don't care if your arguments are technical or others, just put them in the
order you perceive their persuasive power.
1.
2.
3.
4.
...
B.) Ideas for Display
Obvisouly all CMS vendors have a problem of making a comprehensive list of
feautures. I think we should avoid trying that in the future, loose the long
list and concentrate on the most important arguments.
I would like to brainstorm a little on how to get the message across the
most attractive and effective way.
Examples from other websites advertising software are also welcome.
Of course any freeform suggestions are welcome as well.
If you look into the subject of wanting to participate in the communication
committee, this is your chance to make an impression :-)
Cheers
Daniel
