Please provide the exact error message you're seeing.

After installing the Introduction Package, there isn't a media folder
in the root. If screenshots show such a folder, they might be outdated.

Sounds like the database part works. But I never used postgres with
TYPO3. Maybe you'll want to focus on getting it running with MySQL
first before starting the next adventure :D

That's because it's the Introduction Package. The "plain" installer
only goes to 3.
