Hi Alex,
I made a tutorial how to install introduction package 4.4.2 on windows.
http://blog.webcan.de/typo3/install-typo3-introduction-package/
Doesn't fit perfect to your circumstances but may helps.
It should be that easy to install it.
The error message is 'no content in root directory' for me seems more an
apache message. But don't know, you should check your logs.
If it is 'no pages are found on the rootlevel' it sticks to TYPO3, than
the setup failed. This should not happen in the introduction package.
Hope you made no mismatch trying to use both install concepts. Byetheway
the introduction package is only for testing.
Concerning postgres, could be that the installation worked but some
other querys in the page views has problems. Xavier is more helping in
the english list. you may get answeres there to.
Were you be able to login in the backend?
Kind regards
Erda
