[Typo3-linux] Suse vs. Debian - any tips or experiences?

Well, I'm a Debian lover anyways, so my answer is probably not really
neutral :-)

I just remember that some SuSE users had problems after doing a security
upgrade. I think it was the Truetype support which didn't work because they
changed some compilation flags.

Of course this could be nitpicking and of course it is the only issue I
remember, but who knows they might still be playing games like this...

On the other hand, the Debian policy (no new versions, only hand-made
backports of important fixes) assures that this will never happen on Debian
security upgrades, that's why they get my full trust.

No it is not, but on the other hand it's just a script which you can change
to make it fit your needs. Should be easy I think...
