I know one more, so we are at least 3 ;-)

Easy calculation: I startet with my F90. Camera 900.- lenses in Total:
about 4000.- (over many years). Than I switched bodies to D100.
Kamera 900.-, new lenses 0.- (no need). Than I switched to D70
(Traded D100 for D70 at the right time). Camera (if bought) about
900.- lenses: Still 0.-
So to pay a little more saved me a lot in the long run.

On alternative could be a Fuji S3 or so, ...

Snowboarding maybe, but kite surfing? *In* the water?
I had my camera *at* the water and was nervous enough ;-)
I digged into underwater cases for my nikon, but they startet
at about 2000.- EUR. (OK waterproof for 40m) but still not
in my price range, if I wanted to stay married to my wife, ... ;-)

have fun
