In school, working to earn money, bought a second hand F801s, still the
best what Nikon produces at any times. Those AF-l, AE-l were just great and
never found on other SLRs again. That was 700DM ;)

Roughly, yes. But 1,5 years before D100, I bought the F100, as I thought it
will be time for a new great SLR as I now earn money, time to change... I
was wrong that this is my SLR for the next 15 years... :)
BTW: I really would like the "new" nikkor 70-200 2.8 AF-S VR... I've got the
great sigma same size, but vibration reduction would really be great...

I didn't like the older models, as you had to have 2 different kinds of
batteries, which were pretty stupid !
