Perhaps it is because the topic says "Coding Guidelines" and the other
core developers have to enough with coding stuff and think that there
are two people, who care for the coding guidelines, so they don't need
to answer :)

I suggest to open a feature issue at forge and set it to version 1.0
(i'll do that now)

There are a few more Sniffs, that need discussion, so we can do that
later. at first i have to implement the missing ones for 0.2, so that we
have the basic sniffs running.

In my opinion that is a good idea, but i want to have the opinion of others.

i am thinking about editors that run crazy, but that is perhaps a minor
and possibly not existing problem. eclipse at least doesn't seem to have
a problem with it.
