[Typo3-UG UK] How scaleable is typo3?

Hi John,

First - general questions re typo3 would be better on the main typo3 user list.

That said, Typo3 seems very scalable. There are sites out there with several
hundreds of pages.

Typo3 has features (such as automatic 'static' page generation, or the cache,
for ex.) that are specifically geared towards high-traffic sites.

As well - being underpinned by a mysql database, scalability issues can be
addressed by separating the database server and the front-end (typo3)
server(s), for example.

Others on the list (especially the general one) may have more experience than
me on scalability issues. Ask there.

As well, having a look at the registered typo3 sites (have a look at
typo3.com), you can get some idea of the size of organisations using typo3.

Good luck!

Yan
