Yes the example that you show in lights-go.com is exactly what I want to
accomplish. The menu system that I am using is the default menu from the
bootstrap package and it is a pull down menu system. The pull down menu is
causing the behavior that I am talking about here. If there is a single
page listed it works fine. If that single page has sub-pages the menu
system will skip over the single page and present the user with a list of
sub-pages to select from. This is frustrating when attempting to set up a
news page. I do not have news pages set up yet in the live site but you can
see the behavior that I a, talking about on the site www.haxtunberean.org.
On this site the page 'contact-usmap-html' is a standard page with nothing
in it. The menu does not care about that, it shows the the three sub-pages
to select from.

The problem with the news page is that the pull down menu will skip right
over it and show the sub-pages. That is way I put the sub-pages under the
page 'NewsPages'. The page above it 'News' is a link to 'News Pages'. The
pull down menu jumps to the link page and then to 'News Page' and all is
good.
