Well, TV does have a kind of wow factor, but that's already been shown
off in other places. There currently is no single place to learn a solid
foundation for TYPO3 from beginning to end. Many people miss one or more
of the existing manuals that provide some key knowledge that helps them
get their site up and running. This project was created to provide a
one-stop foundation-learning solution. Extensions come later, after you
know the basics.

Just as I would want a mechanic working on my car to know the difference
between a main bearing journal and a lifter, rather than the kid up the
street who doesn't know anything about cars but managed to put a turbo
under the hood from reading a how-to manual they bought at the auto
parts store. The turbo sure is sexier than a main bearing journal. But
when I throw a rod, the kid up the street would be useless to me. :)
