Hi Christian

are you responsible for the german Translation? so why have you stopped?

We have people here who already translate a lot and the thai translation is
meanwhile often better than the German one in terms of completion, but the
customers need often Thai and German and English etc.

"Pay somebody" - sorry that I am loud start laughing. Why should I pay
somebody if our team is doing the job??? they already get their payments.
But we don't get access to the system. I am sure there are lots of people
out there who are willing to donate their translation and than more
langauges could be translated 100%. The problem is right now that even a
payed Developer what should he actually do? Break the passwords to donate
his translations?

Also your solution "find somebody else with more time and motivation than
the current volunteer translator fails.

If this current translator has not the time to translate than he should
simply be so fair to let others do the job like he should do in this
position!
If someone writes to us that he needs a Thai translation for an Extension
than we try to get this extension installed immediately and also get
somebody to translate the stuff. If an extension is not so needed than it
takes a bit longer time as we do this only in our spare time.

I totally agree that the current situation takes a lot of time as it is
difficult to find still open changes! Absolutely right! nevertheless is this
by no way a reason not to translate the stuff or get the job done as it is
your responsibility to do so!!!

If you don't do your job and translating those files ontime guess how many
people all around the world need to work with an incomplete translation.
When you have chosen to be a translator yu already knew about the
difficulties to find the still open threads and you knew as a TYPO3
developer that those translations are quite essential as they are all
centralized stored on one server. If there would be chance to open up
several translation servers we could copy all translations and update those
we need by ourself. right now you can get the extensions served from your
own server since 4.5.2 but the translations are still centralized.

i.e. as you are talking from "payment"
we could setup a translation server, get some translators working here at
our location and resell the translations to the community ;-)

If you don't want to do, don't find the time, have money problems, or what
else than please let the community not suffer because of this and do your
job and translate or give away your job who is willing to do it!

Read 1 Conrinthians 10,30-33

30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for
which I give thanks?
31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the
glory of God.
32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the
church of God:
33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but
the profit of many, that they may be saved.

This is how we work and I guess also what Kaspar has supported it when he
donated the system to us all (John 3, 16)

So please get your translations finished.

Thanks

Andi
