I think Stig's idea is great.  It if were possible, that would be an
excellent manner to contextualize the translation.  One of my biggest
problems with translations is exactly what Stig mentioned.  Sometimes it
is hard to understand what you are translating since it is in a list
away from the very context which we are in.

I work (off and on) in the Brazilian Portuguese translation team.
