Even if we made the use without symlinks possible: this would be a nice place 
to add a symlink. That solves the problem, and is the solution preferred 
right now (as quickly discussed after the GA).

Remember: Right now most translations (csh_*) are probably installed as local 
extensions, too. So it's not really a problem IMHO.
