[TYPO3-translators] TYPO3 Translation 4.0 - Important

Hi translators of TYPO3.

First of all let me express a deep regret of the long time you have  
all been waiting for me/us to focus on the issues of translation and  
respond to your emails. It has been due to general stress and  
overload etc. I think there are solutions to this problem in the  
future and we are going to focus on that solution now.


MAILING LIST:
The strategy will be to avoid bottlenecks. In order to do so I plan  
to go from hierarchy to a flatter structure. The first change is that  
we don't have chief translators anymore as you know it. The second  
change is that I want you as translators internally to work more  
together to find solutions without involving me in your work.

For this to happen we have created a mailinglist. Please subscribe  
immediately to the translator mailing list which has just been made  
public:

All further communication and discussion of topics related to  
translation goes on on this list.


TRANSLATION FOR 4.0
TYPO3 version 4.0 is about to be released in a few weeks. The  
features are complete almost and its soon time for translation. I  
expect an updated translation server to be ready next week. I will  
announce that on the translator list.


NEW LANGUAGES:
Faroese, Serbian and Farsi has been added in 4.0. New translations:  
please await message on translator list next week.


TRANSLATION OF EXTENSIONS in TER2:
We have a problem. The old interface for translation of extensions  
online does not exist anymore. This is bad news. But on the  
translator list we can discuss together how a solution to this  
problem should look like.
