I agree with that. The original idea is interesting, but the realisation 
is difficult. Case in point: RFC #10347.

I stumbled on this bug because I'm using the DAM in a multilingual 
environment. By default the language field is hidden for both tx_dam and 
tx_dam_cat records. I have explicitly enabled its display in my setup. 
So with a bit of chance someone with even a "complete" DAM install may 
not have been able to observe the bug... The diversity of working 
environments actually ensures that more bugs get spotted.

I think it's up to the bug reporter to be specific enough, even though I 
agree that it may be difficult to think of what the peculiarities of 
your setup may be.
