here are the notes of the 6th meeting of the 4.6 Release Team - a rather
short one this time, but at least you get three links (LINK3) that might

Minutes from the 6th meeting of the 4.6 Release Team

*April 18th, 2011*

The 4.6 release team meets weekly for a Skype discussion round on the
current activities. If you find this report interesting or have some
comment or question about a particular topic, don't hesitate to
follow-up on the thread in the v4 mailing list.

On Monday, April 18th 2011 we hold our 6th meeting with the following
participants:

* Oliver Hader (Core Team Leader)
* Benjamin Mack (4.4 Release Manager)

Xavier is currently doing his swiss military service for some days and
thus was not able to attend our meeting. Besides that Steffen and Ben
are participants of the TYPO3.org Relaunch Week and thus also were not
able to attend.


General issues
==============

Only two members of the release team were able to attend this time - so
the meeting was rather short and informal.

TYPO3.org Relaunch Week
-----------------------

Currently a bunch of developers, editors and project managers is meeting
in the Linux Hotel in Essen/Germany for the TYPO3.org Relaunch week [1]

CMS Expo Chicago
----------------

Benni is going to travel to the CMS Expo in Chicago next week, will be
representing TYPO3 there and have two talks on "TYPO3 Overview" and
"TYPO3 in the Enterprise". Other big CMS like Drupal and Joomla are at
the CMS Expo as well. [2]

News extension based on Extbase
-------------------------------

A long anticipated version of tt_news but based on the modern principles
of Extbase and Fluid is currently developed. You can check out the
extension already from the forge project and can participate in testing
and of course fixing bugs if you find some. Besides the blog example
this "exbased" news extension offers a more concrete and challenging use
case to work with Extbase and Fluid. [3]

Dates
=====

* TYPO3 4.6 alpha1 on May 10th 2011
* Feature Freeze and TYPO3 4.6 beta1 on August 2nd 2011
  no new features and no exceptions after the feature freeze date
* Final Release of TYPO3 4.6.0 on October 25th 2011
