I'm not sure if it might be worth the effort to add some more 
information such as how difficult it is to implement, how large the 
feature set is, how easy it is to add own features...

Just thinking of cal: You can easily add new things, mot of them without 
writing code - but you need a longer time to get it working; and you get 
a very large set of features, more or less a swiss army knife. But it's 
nothing you want to make your first steps with TYPO3...

In any case: a review after a certain time should be required. Until mid 
of the year, lots of people would have recommended tt_news, but now this 
might get replaced by news...

Even if I'm not certified integrator I offer to add my 2 cents; imho the 
top 50/100 downloaded extensions could be a really good start to do some 
further marking (at least for people like me that do work in TYPO3 
business-wise).
