just for the record: it is called news2

news2 doesn't care about language overlays or workspace overlays itselfs
but uses extbase for that. If there are bugs you can be sure that those
are getting fixed because it is the core.

BTW news2 needs 4.5 or better trunk and there are even features enabled
which are still pending in core list (ok it is just one and usability
improvement only).
