I think that's not possible at the moment. The reason is, that all links
are pointing to the same page where the detail view plugin is located.
As always the same detail view plugin with the same configuration is
called, the output won't differ.

It could work with two plugins to show your seminars that are configured
in different ways: one showing only current and upcoming events,
pointing to detail page A and the second one displaying the past
seminars, pointing to detail page B.

But that doesn't sound like a genius solution for this. I think the
detail view could be improved with just some lines of code to reflect
your changes - without changing the template.

Are you a programmer and could you make a patch? That would be great!

Unfortunately I don't have the time to have a deeper look into this
issue or even code it within the next couple of weeks.
