I still found something suboptimal but maybe I'm wrong. IIRC you modify
the default Sphinx parser to add support for the special tables you used
as additional definition in reST. Is this possible to NOT modify the
default parser but use modules are whatever in Sphinx that we could have
in the Git repository instead?

It's just that installing and configuring Sphinx for developers is not
totally trivial (it's not that complicated I agree but still) but
modifying the parser is something I really don't feel confident with,
moreover if we want to benefit from updates.

Maybe I'm slightly wrong here but anyway... Perhaps adding such
information in the existing pages on wiki.typo3.org would be a good idea
now that the whole chain is more or less "stable".
