I didn't understand what you were saying for a while. I think I understand
now. You mean the Table of Contents at the start of the .sxw document? The
one that you have to right click and select "Update"?

Do people actually use the page numbers when referencing other documents? I
hope not! I don't remember seeing that.

Could you explain a little more why this is a serious problem? I haven't
seen it while using the docs myself but perhaps I'm not understanding you
correctly.
