[TYPO3-dam] translating/localizing dam categories

In 1.1 the category records are defined for localization.

But this does not have any effect in the backend. Which means you can localize 
the records with Web>List but you will not see that in the Media modules. But 
of course you can use the localized records in your own FE plugin. Also the 
stuff is not really tested ...

Open questions:

Should the categories module provide localization? This module was always 
meant as a temporary solution until a general category approach is 
established in TYPO3. But that never happended, and current efforts does not 
seem to provide a solution very soon.

Should the user see the localized categories in BE?
