[TYPO3-dam] Status of DAM developement?

This doesn´t sound good. Hope that nothing bad happened to his family!? 
(Which of course would be a very understandable reason to drop any 
"other activities" like DAM development. - But I hope there are other 
reasons...)

Yes, it is! I´m glad to hear that you are "trying to get the spark 
back". Please keep us informed by dropping messages in this group.
I think a lot of people are already using DAM in productive environments 
but there are some bugs / missing features that are forcing most of them 
to build their own solutions / workarounds. So it would be good to have 
someone coordinating all the DAM development if Rene is not able to do 
(or even temporarily until he "is back").

Yes I´m working with 1.1alpha.
Currently I´m extending the dam_downloads to my needs.
My next step is to implement multi language category labels...
