[TYPO3-dam] Status of DAM developement?

Hi Karl-E,

I am sorry I meant a stable 1.1 not a version 2. I am well aware that
DAM 1.1 should have been shipped with TYPO3 4.0. There was even a budget
allocated. If I am correct no-one has heard anything from Rene after
trying to contact him. At least I know several people have tried to
contact him. Last word here on the list about Rene was from Daniel
Thomas if I am correct. He mentioned Rene had a little baby and that was
the reason he dropped out, but only to mention Rene would pick up
development as soon as possible. This obviously has not happened.

Officially there is not anything going on with DAM at the moment. I am
trying to get the spark back in as I think DAM is a necessary part of a
Enterprise Content Management System. One action I know that has been
done is to put DAM into SVN although that is not the latest 1.1 alpha.

So in short ;-) There is no new release planned.

If you are going to change anything will you base that on 1.1 alpha?
