Even though I think your general point is absolutely true and it is the
responsibility of the core team members to accept contributions by
others, I'd like to point out that both bugs complained about by Joey
were *introduced* by the intended pro-accessibility changes to the Core
made by Content Rendering folks.

The two issues Joey points out are:
 - hardcoded fieldsets around radio buttons is bad
 - during the integration of css styled imgtext into the core
   CaptionSplit was accidently dropped

Both changes were introduced by the CRG.

So the point is not that the Core team blocked all the good input from
CRG people, but CRG people are arguing against CRG people.

The work of those who changed something (e.g. Ernesto and Sebastian) is
criticized by Joey, who thinks those changes were not good enough, and
accuses the Release Manager (Stucki) of releasing 4.0 even though those
new content rendering features are not as perfect as they should be.
