[TYPO3-english] redirect extension?

I'm not a sysadmin, so I would sit down with my sysadmin and try to find 
a solution for:
- what is the easiest syntax for redirects
- how can we give TYPO3 access to modify this redirect list
- which sanity checks must be made for the redirect

With that information I could write a BE module which allows a BE user 
to set/modify the redirects.

I had a quick look in TER, but all extensions were doing Javascript or 
header redirects.

RealURL can also redirects and has a BE interface for it. The maintainer 
(Dmitry Dulepov) always warns against using them extensively because of 
the performance impact of abusing TYPO3 for simple redirects.
