Hi Ahmed
In your post I can see the need which is actually already there.

Referring to my first post with the link to
http://webempoweredchurch.com/community

Please do one thing:

*PART A - Join a Class here and watch the Videos*
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/classes/
start with the Getting Started Clase 101
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/classes/wec101/

*PART B - Installation:*
Go here:
http://webempoweredchurch.org/products/wec_starter/
read the component list
http://webempoweredchurch.org/products/wec_starter/components/
than read this
http://webempoweredchurch.org/products/wec_starter/manual/
as your friends and you want to try out this package first I recommend you
to download this
http://webempoweredchurch.org/products/wec_starter/wectypo3server/
of course you can download also one of the Linux or Windows ServerPackages
here
http://webempoweredchurch.org/fileadmin/proj/wec_starter/src/wec_starter-4_2_6-1_0_1.tar.gz
http://webempoweredchurch.org/fileadmin/proj/wec_starter/src/wec_starter-4_2_6-1_0_1.zip
install everything like you read before in the tutorial

OK - you will need about 30 Minutes time to read through the tutorial WHILE
you download the packages and than install them

*PART C - configuration:*
Now open the Backend
go to WEB WEC_config
Edit Site Constants
Fill in your Data like Sitename, your BaseURL, email and so on
Choose Site Template
Choose your site Template you want to start with
You are all set and you can work immediately and fill in content

*PART D - Learning about the functionality:*
Go back to the classes site
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/classes/
Now work through all classes 102 - 106 which will show you how to use the
package and its extensions
It will also learn you and your friends how to administer the website and -
very important - how to get assistance.
As all WEC Packages are based on the same very stable TYPO3 Foundation many
people have similar problems if they have one and solutions to solve these
problems you can find best in this forum:
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/community/
You can subscribe to a section, a post or even the complete forum and than
yu will receive a mail if somebody posts something. In the personal settings
you also find the communicational details of the forum posters so you will
be able to contact them also via skype, msn, gmailtalk and more

*PART E - Customization:*
Now it is time to customize your TYPO3 site.
Of course your customers want to have their own design so lets do it.
IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind. To stay compatible with the WEC-Packages
which is very very useful at all you should keep their naming and
"wec_standards i.e. in TS" - This is especially useful if you want to give
your customers support or offer them training as WEC has already most
Training Materials you would need available and you only would need to start
with!

*Let's start with the Templates:*
You can surf around here and install a new one which is ready to be used:
http://webempoweredchurch.org/products/templates/repository/
but I guess you want to do more - your own designs - than read here:
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/classes/typo3basics/
Here you learn also how to customize - move around i.e. search and
loginboxes and more
You can read also more about WEC-Design Template customization here:
http://webempoweredchurch.org/products/templates/manual/
and here
http://webempoweredchurch.org/products/templates/developers_manual/

some older but still very usefull resources are mentioned on this site too:
http://webempoweredchurch.org/products/templates/

Read about the coding standards more here
http://webempoweredchurch.org/dev_support/devhowtos/category/coding_guide/

*PART F - Go Further and Install new Features*
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/classes/typo3_extensions/
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/classes/addcommonfeatures/
as you want to have a secure site you need to create also user accounts
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/classes/setupbackendusers/
perhaps you will need more than one language
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/classes/addlang/
uups - something went wrong - so lets debbug everything
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/classes/debuggingandrepairing/
when it seems that the server settings aren't right than use the Server
Checker
http://webempoweredchurch.org/products/wec_server_checker/

*PART G - Do even more and learn more about other extensions*,
don't worry to start with the more complex ones like cal, tt_news/timtab,
directmail
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/classes/usingcalendarbase/
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/classes/settingupthedirectmail/
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/classes/usingnewsstories/
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/classes/settinguptheblog/

*PART H - Look for some extensions (addons) for other extensions in TER** *
*First you should go through the material here:*
*http://webempoweredchurch.org/dev_support/devtutorials/developerbasics/*
*Than start *
*and enhance the features i.e of tt_news. TYPE tt_news in the search field
of tt_news and you will find them. TRy i.e. those from Georg Ringer - They
have good tutorials and he has a very good example site and if you need help
you will find him in IRC or at Mittwald and also here on the mailinglist,
just post your requests and questions if you have one after reading his
tutorials.*
http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/?tx_terfe_pi1[view]=search&no_cache=1&tx_terfe_pi1[sword]=Georg+ringer
his development
http://www.rggooglemap.com/dev.html

Have a look how he is programed the extensions - use also extensions from
other developers and learn see how they have integrated/modified extensions
and addons

Now you and your friends should start to read also more basic TYPO3
Literature like the TSREF if you haven't done it already before. Go through
all of this literature here:
http://webempoweredchurch.org/dev_support/devtutorials/
and here
http://webempoweredchurch.org/dev_support/devhowtos/
especially this here
http://webempoweredchurch.org/dev_support/devhowtos/category/development_process/

You will need about 1 week to work through this and than you can setup a
TYPO3 site like you wish and you have a very good base and best of all you
have a community which can help you with this package and its extensions as
their developers are part of the community too!
http://webempoweredchurch.com/support/community/

By the way new features are to come too from them - have a look here - and
wait a bit until 4.3.Beta/Final:
http://webempoweredchurch.org/home/usevideo/

==================

The things you are writing about actually already exist at
webempoweredchurch and its WEC Package.
It is a normal TYPO3 Package which can be extended like any other TYPO3 site
but it is very easy to setup and to handle and to customize and best of all
it is the BEST DESCRIBED TYPO3 Resource Center in the Net!

Like I said before also our T3Pack TYPO3 Packages are all based on
"WEC_Standards" but focused for SME, NGO and TARGETED Groups, reduced or
extended with other extensions (also as Packages) for their individual
needs. If you want to learn how to setup your own TYPO3 Packages you will
find it described also in the WEC Resources - and than you will have your
own TYPO3 Packages i.e. for the arabian world with right to left support!

I guess also WEC would be very interested to get this integrated into their
Resource Center. So please write a tutorial how you managed this and they
will publish it to at one place - at the Web Empowerd Church and people from
all around the world will find it without any great hazzle and without need
to surf to other sites at all to find a solution which is easy to understand
and comes along with a video tutorial!

This is Community for Newbees and for those who want to make TYPO3 easier
for Developers and Customers. Instead of building up a new resource center
you should really use this existing one. But still I recommend to subscribe
to the mailinglist as only here you will get the REAL INSIDE of TYPO3.

When I first flew an airplane, the teacher gave me the control while we were
already in the air. Until than I did not know how to start or land it (ok in
theory I knew). I enjoyed it and it was great fun. Next I landed it in
Stuttgart - Echterdingen on a bigger airport and I experienced the first
time a bit of pressure to finish my job ontime between all those other
airplanes landing infront and behind me. Than he taught me how to start it!

   1. You should do the same with TYPO3. Have fun with it without worrying
about coding at all and learn how to work with it while it is already
   running (use WEC-Package),
   2. Start producing some easy sites using the WEC-Packages for others and
train them using the WEC Resources which are already available. Land your
first bigger deals on the market!
   3. Dig deeper and deeper and build your own Package which follows the WEC
Guidelines - This way you and your customers will still find the
   WEC-Resources very very useful.

Have T3FUN, and if you are interested in cooperating i.e. in a Right to Left
T3Pack/WEC Version than please let me know - (send me a private mail)

Andi
