[TYPO3] Where is a good place to host a typo3 site? (USA)

Hi

Hosting in US can cause problems if you host with big hosters which don't
have really support. But same can happen to you in Germany i.e. SERVAGE -
big advertisement and really good hosting features but absolutly no support
which is qualified and which knows how to handle their clustered
envireonment - results you will be slow.

Other smaller Hosters they run often without ssh access and in savemode.
Keep away from this. Have a look also how much space you get and how much
people and of course which sites are already surfing on the same IP. Your
site can ran totally down. i.e. IMHOSTED. 2.5TB yeah Terrabyte webspace.
ssh, and Live support which answers really in 15 Minutes - but here also
things happened like described before baff and they put save mode on as soon
as they think another 9/11 attack will happen without informing customers.

With Vine Hosting you are on a good site as you can contact the
webempoweredchurch forum right a way if there are problems and they will
help you!!! for sure! Before you hast anywhere check out some critics about
a hoster, see which sites are running on their spaces, check the
requirements, run they graphicsmagic or imagemagic. if IM calculate a bit
more problems in ;-), do they run safemoide or not or even like at servage
can you by yourselve manage all those php stuff even on a shared hosting
space.

Always remember - if you are depending on a Hoster somewhere they really can
drive you crazy if their support is not qualified and has actiuallay no idea
about TYPO3 at all. When they do something wrong on their server YOUR site
is down and YOU have the problems not they. Read their Terms and you see
that they most likely can do everything they want with you and you can't
force them to bring back your site.
Check if they are doing backups. i.e. Servage isn't doing it at all!! so you
need some own cronjob.
Yeah CronJob - check out if you can manage them like you want (Imhosted) or
if they are restricted in numebr and in timing (one job once an hour!)
Servage
Be aware that exactly all those small little things will make your live
often hell if you don't can't rely on support or on people who check back
immediately

Best perhaps would be find some others - put yourselve together and run your
own dedicated server - this is probably cheaper, faster and you are the
master in charge  of YOUR fun!

Even ask here on the list, perhaps people want to join you on a dedicated
