[TYPO3] sr_feuser_register unable to edit profile

Hello all:

I recently installed the most recent version of sr_feuser_register (2.5.6. –
April 18, 2007 / Typo3 v4.1) and everything works like a charm (even
extended fields!) but for editing a profile.

When a FE user is logged in and visit my editPID, changes his profile and
clicks on the only button available ('Update profile Now') the page is
refreshed (no confirmation page (?) although I have set it up to 1 in TS
setup, see below) with the new data but the fe_user table is not updated. If
the users then revisit the editPID page the former data is displayed
(obviously).

I can guaranty that all the setup is in accordance with the extension's
manual (page permissions and everything)
