[TYPO3] Hardware requirement

Without knowing numbers (ie: peak load connections per second, customized
vs static content, total bandwidth (ie if you saturate your bandwidth,
doesn't matter how powerful the server is)) its next to impossible to tell
you how big or how many servers you will need.

You may consider using a reverse proxy infront of the web server.. this
would cache pages to significantly reduce load on the web server. In
addition, utilizing a php accelerator (such as eaccelerator) dramatically
increases the page output of Typo3 (my sites usually go from ~2 to 16-18+
pages/sec on low-end hardware) for non-cached pages and/or dynamic pages.
If you have some historical numbers and some projections, it could help in
determining what *might* be a good place to start for hardware scaling.
