[TYPO3] running typo3 without imagemagick but with GD2

Hi,

i checked with my hosting company http://www.one.com. and they say the 
support typo3 but don't have imagemagick installed but they say they 
have GD2 installed.

is this also working without problems or does typo3 run smoothly 
without it?
