[TYPO3] Hardware requirement

Hi,

We are compiling an offer for an instance of the Belgian government.
The site will contain all kinds of statistics and especially voting 
statistics. So normally load will be ok except during some periods.
What hardware recommendations would you guys suggest.

Eventually already some config settings that could help the server cope 
with peak traffic moments.
