[TYPO3] [ ]s in urls for admin interface

Hey guys,

Right now one of the providers we are working with implements a 
clustering solution which does not allow for []s in urls.  As it turns 
out typo3 backend is full of them, is there anyway to make some changes 
so they are a different char?  if so what changes would I need to make 
and be aware of?
